Film location
Ardlamont Estate with its extensive grounds, and 16th century mansion house provides the variety and quality of locations that make it an ideal destination for film and video crews.
The Estate itself was the 'star' of a BBC drama, Unsolved Mysteries, shot in the grounds a few years ago and based round a real life murder trial which gripped the nation way back in 1893.
Since then Ardlamont House has been a popular choice for fashion shoots in particular, with the models delighted by the quality of their accommodation and the directors equally pleased to use the period effects of the elegant staircase and large public rooms to offset the fashions.
The Estate has also attracted the attention of crews shooting music videos who find the variety of scenery and period buildings a perfect backdrop for their shots.
Ardlamont House, with its large public rooms all complete with authentic period furniture and antiques is the ideal setting for period dramas and other productions set in bygone days.
The Estate is also a Mecca for wildlife and landscape photographers drawn by the chance to shoot the likes of eagles, buzzards and peregrines in their natural habitat, and by the stunning scenery.
Ardlamont welcomes inquiries from all types of film and video production companies seeking somewhere different for product launches, model shoots and other location-specific productions.
There is ample accommodation for production teams up to 20 strong.
